So, I bet you've been wondering about the recent restrictions on offworld flights. I have been, so I spoke with my mole within the Rio based company, Gravity Space Flights, but he couldn't tell me much, just that it wasn't on the authority of the Global Union, which means its coming from on high in the company. But why? Gravity has zero reason to restrict their own flights, so my guess is that they are doing a favor for someone. You wouldn't be able to guess who, but I might.

The first clue came when I kept seeing reports that the Artificial, Adam Fesker, known as the Swan in some circles, had been sighted in several cities. We haven't seen much of Fesker for years, as his parent corporation, VariType Industries, has kept him safely inside their arcology in New Delhi.

So I wrote my guys inside VariType an email. They claim that earlier this month something went down in the maxium security corporate penthouses that sit atop the arcology. Those penthouses are home to the company's top talent. Restricted flights, trouble with talent- it looks like there is a defection in progress.

After that, I went back through the news feeds, noted all the cities that Fesker had been seen in, and just connected the dots. It looks like Fesker has been chasing our defector, who appears to be headed right for the Press, home to one of VariType's major competitiors: Tacticell Pharmecuticals.

So what is going down? A head gene-man escaped from VariType and headed straight for Tacticell? It certainly looks like it.

The only other juicy bit of rumor I was able to uncover recently involves Newer Horrizons, the terraforming firm based out of Munich. Although the terraforming of the Moon has been everything but successful, it seems that the company is gearing up for their first attempt at terraforming Mars. The domed dormitories have been built on the surface, and an artificial atmosphere is in place. Expect them to start hiring crews within a few months.
